Nail care and beauty product/service provider OPI Products Inc. announced that they will be collaborating with beverage company Coca-Cola to launch a line of nail lacquers this past Wednesday.
Some of The Coca-Cola Company's most recognized products, including Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Sprite and Fanta will be the inspiration for the limited edition line, which is scheduled to launch internally in June 2014.
Since 1981, when the company was founded, OPI Products Inc. has been frequently launching new lines of lacquers in all different colors, styles and textures. Some of their most recent collections include San Francisco, Couture de Minnie, Euro Centrale and their Designer Series. Throughout the years, they’ve collaborated with a number of various companies and products – like Ford Mustang and Dell – and movies, including Legally Blonde 2, Alice in Wonderland, and even The Muppets. They’ve also paired up with famous celebrities – including Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, the Kardashians (to create Kardashian Kolors), Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry.
The OPI team is very excited for their latest partnership with Coca-Cola.
“As the global leader in the professional nail industry, OPI is thrilled to partner with the world’s top beverage company, The Coca-Cola Company,” remarks Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder and Executive Vice President. “These two iconic brands truly deliver happiness in a bottle – whether it’s a refreshing, invigorating sip of Coke or a set of fingers and toes perfectly polished with OPI nail lacquer.”
As fate may have it, the feeling is mutual in both parties.
“We’re excited to partner with OPI, a preeminent nail polish brand with global reach and influence among our core target teen audience,” said Kate Dwyer, Group Director Worldwide Licensing, The Coca-Cola Company. “Coca-Cola has a long history of collaborations with beauty and lifestyle brands to further connect with consumers and tastemakers in a way that is meaningful and relevant for them.”
The line of lacquers is scheduled to launch this June, for a limited time only. To learn more about OPI, visit http://www.opi.com/.
