// Makeup Of The Day: Bad Religion Inspired

Hello!

One of my favorite things to do is go back and see at the makeup looks I've done in the past, and compare them to now, and I get so excited when I see the improvements I've made.

My fiancé and I have been dating since February of 2013 (yeah, you can say we got engaged a little quickly) but we immediately established a connection and fell in love. During this time, he opened up my eyes to a world that I didn't know existed. He introduced me to new music, new feelings and new appreciations for things that I always took for granted. One of the many things, specifically, that he introduced me to is Bad Religion.

Bad Religion is a punk band that formed in Los Angeles in 1979. I love them genuinely because they make awesome music. Not only are their lyrics powerful, but they sing songs with beautiful 3-part vocal harmonies and intense guitar solos. Above is their logo. Keep in mind, I'm Roman Catholic, and I don't take offense to the band logo or their Agnostic beliefs. I just absolutely love their music, and I love how their songs make me feel, and I love that they serve as a constant reminder of my fiancé and all that he's introduced me to.

So Bad Religion released a Christmas album this past year, and Brian and I were ecstatic about it. As soon as the pre-order was available, we ran to the computer and ordered one of their packages. It came with the Christmas Songs LP on a red vinyl, a 7" entitled Father Christmas, a tee, ornament, and a pretty Crossbuster scarf.

So on one of the days I was wearing my scarf, I decided to doll myself up a bit with some makeup. And then I thought: I'm kinda diggin' the whole red, black and white look. I think I'll try it on my eyes.

And this is what I came up with:

It's dark and it's edgy and it's colorful and I absolutely love it.

The red is a Hot Topic brand eye shadow, the black is Carbon by M.A.C, the white is another Hot Topic brand eye shadow, and the eyeliner and mascara are by Victoria's Secret. I also used a pair of false lashes that I got for super cheap on Amazon.

I wore this makeup with my Bad Religion scarf and threw my hair up in a sock bun, and let's just say my fiancé was drooling throughout the night.

What do you think about this look? Would you wear it out and about? Let me know in the comments below! Thank you for reading my posts! I hope to see you again soon.
